Adrian de Sauvanie was born in 1971 on the coast of Zealand in the Netherlands, but grew up and was educated entirely on the prairies of Southern Alberta in Canada, and is a citizen of both countries. After having lived for several years in Cannes in France as well, he lives in a rural location on the Zealandic coast.

He is a polymath, engaging in numerous interests, including passionately partaking in both writing and visual art. He loves and engages equally in intellectual and physical pursuits, and consciously leads and embraces a very simple life.
